This was a very special wedding for me as Alana was one of my students when I first started lecturing (in that pesky other job I have!). Despite getting married in Canberra she was very keen for us to make her bouquets and with a colour palette of eggplant, blacks and greys as if I … Continue reading Wedding: Alana & Blake
A snippet of some of the gorgeous wreaths Beth has made this year and that will be gracing homes all over the country! They’re made from locally grown and foraged ingredients that have been dried by us.
That’s pretty much a wrap on our Spring subscription season! It’s so lovely to see the season unfold in our weekly blooms. We started with fluffy double daffodils and anemones and are ending with roses, amaryllis and foxgloves. A season of flowers brings such a lovely awareness of the season and garden. Spots are starting to fill … Continue reading Spring Subscriptions 2
Huzzah! We’re rockstars! Beth’s amazing floral scarf was selected by floral royalty Holly Hipwell to be a finalist in the Tesselaar Rockstar Florist comp! That’s a national comp folks! It’s made from flowers from our farm or foraged items (Yes even the orchid is ours!) and it’s such an awesome thing for the slow flower … Continue reading Rockstar Finalists!
We are half way through the Spring subscriptions already! We can hardly believe it. It’s been a bumpy and wet start for the garden but with the few days of sunshine we’ve had we are finally getting there. Thank goodness for anenome’s and daffodils who’ll bloom even without sunshine! Half way through and the ranunculus … Continue reading Spring Subscriptions
We loved getting Julie’s design brief: Tactile|Scented|Texture|Relaxed|Navy bridesmaids dresses and inspired by the hues of succulents. Pumped is an understatement! We started collecting succulents and propagating them straight away. We foraged for macrocarpa, privet berry, herbs and eucalypt leaves. As well as bouquets we created a giant urn arrangement as a backdrop to their intimate … Continue reading Wedding: Julie & Dave
Playing around with flat lays! The bottom one is my favourite – which is yours?
How’s this for some golden hour light? This was such a fun shoot! We wanted to create a dramatic, edgy bouquet for a bride who’s after something a little different… Oh and then some girls on horses came along and insisted on us using their steed! Alright then! Blooms: Dahlias, amaranth, roses, cosmos, dusty miller, … Continue reading Bridal Shoot: Grunge
It’s the end of the flower season here at the farm and lots of our blooms are going to bed (read: compost heap!) – but at the same time hundreds (!) of bulbs and seeds are being tucked into the soil to grow through the winter! Dahlias and Zinnias have been our Summer main … Continue reading Summer Subscriptions 4
We put together a little shoot inspired by the Pantone colours of the year… Who knew Little Triffids HQ was just that shade of serenity?! An ombre bouquet in a more formal shape but with the wild and whimsical touches that make it quintessentially LT. Rose, tuberose, snowberry, amaranth, salvia, dahlia, cosmos… Also, time to … Continue reading Rose Quartz and Serenity
